CHARLES A. BECKER FOUNDATION
Supported Organizations
As the Foundation celebrates its tenth anniversary, we are honored to report that our cumulative grant awards total just over $1.5 million to benefit numerous kids in an extensive variety of programs. Everything from specialized dental care, to mentoring and help with school homework, to once-in-a-lifetime experiences at extraordinary summer camps, the programs we've helped fund have become as moving for us to participate in, as the kids to experience, often in life-changing ways.
The Foundation non-profit status is that of a support organization, primarily for our three designated organizations along with their affiliate regional programs and charities:
Desert Mission, Phoenix Arizona
Fremont Presbyterian Church, Sacramento California
Saints and Sinners, San Francisco California
The Foundation Board of Directors can recognize and award special one-time grants at its discretion to other select youth charities with programs that specifically benefit kids within these same geographic areas. In order to be considered for a special award, please visit, complete, and submit the application found on our website, along with the necessary support documentation. All our grant awards are distributed annually in the fall, and tend to be modest up to five figures. The Board of Directors pays particular attention to smaller organizations to which an award of our typical amount will provide measurable and lasting assistance and results.
