Home History Supported Organizations Grant Guidelines & Application Contact Us	Established in 1996, the Charles A. Becker Foundation came into being to help fulfill the dreams of kids. The organization purpose states, "continuing the benevolent spirit of Charles A. Becker, a gentleman who cared about children, though he had none of his own." His wish for the Foundation is that it always "benefits young people who try to get ahead", that have little or no financial support. The Foundation annually awards modest financial grants to child and youth direct benefit charitable programs located in; San Francisco and Sacramento, California, and Phoenix, Arizona, based on their merit. A primary interest of the Foundation is promoting individual success in education, and positive education reform efforts in public and charter schools with structures in place to help sustain that individual success.
